When royalty meets reality.

 

This is the slogan of Disneychannel Original Movie in spring 2009 has depopulated the Italian screens of Disneychannel, a film about the adventures about the princess Rosalinda Montoya Fiore (Demi Lovato) moved to the U.S. in a bustling city of Louisiana, threatened by a general who wants to replace as president of the small country of Costa Luna.

 To not end up in a cell, the princess is totally restored and renamed Rosie, and accompanied the new house in which she will make know Carter (Selena Gomez), although they are not nice in a first time, the two girls will learn most from each other becoming so great friends.

 In fact, Rosie has very elegant and composed way, gentle and polite tone, envied by all the girls in her school.

Carter, however, is a simple and humble girl, able to adapt well to the inconvenience the common urban life puts in front.

Carter does not like girls fitted and presumptuous, she often calls princesses, meaning their boundless vanity and arrogance towards others.

But what is really a princess?
Carter had to ask herself this question when she met Rosie.

In this character a bit ironic and negative, Selena perfectly embodied all the stereotypes that Western society today cultivates, that is the princesses are known as spoiled little girls who think only of himself, generalizing this way the concept also to the real princesses.

The confrontation between Rosie and Carter allows the viewer to remove the plate and realize that a princess carrying on his shoulders the responsibility of an entire people, and that's what Carter learns from Rosie.

At this point we can have two questions: is this a great example of friendship, or a new model-way for girls?

The movie can also teach how friendship can be born even among people who are so profoundly different, but just you can choise how to understand the meaning about.
